The background picture on this post is of the lounge in the Muchas’ house in the castle. On top of the harmonium is an early photograph of Gaugin playing the exact same harmonium in Muchas Paris studio, but with no trousers on. A bit like the organist in Monty Pythons Flying Circus, but real and from early 1900’s.
Class today is with Daria Klimentová in studio 1 with Dagmar Huffova on piano. Studio 2 with Vadim Muntagirov and Sergei Poluektov on piano and in studio 3 there is Christopher Hampson with Jonathan Still on piano. What a line up!!! These young dancers are so lucky to have this opportunity, to work at professional level and speed with some of the greatest artistes of our time. I know they love it, you can tell quite easily by the amount of smiling going on.
Just had to spend a little while at the hotel sorting out the new arrivals for next week and of course was temptyed to but the “pain au chocolat” from the lovely bakery on the way. Very naughty. Anyway here are some pics of class today.
