
Greg joined Australian Ballet in 1982, becoming Principal Artiste
in 1987. He has danced all the classical repertoire as well
as many
contemporary works, and has worked with some of the finest choreographers
in the world including Kenneth Macmillan, Glen Tetley, Jiří
Kylián
and Maurice Béjart.
He has been identified as one of the purest classical dancers
Australia has produced and has been Guest Principal with the
Kirov Ballet,
Royal Danish Ballet, Houston Ballet, Boston Ballet and Tokyo
Ballet, and also appeared on Rudolph Nureyev’s Farewell
Tour of Australia.
In 1994 Greg joined English National Ballet as Senior Principal,
creating roles such as Mad Hatter in Derek Deane’s Alice
in Wonderland, Prince in Michael Corder’s Cinderella,
and starred in Derek Deane’s spectacular Arena Production
tours of Swan Lake and Romeo and Juliet around
the world. Greg left ENB in 1998 to
become Artistic Director for British Gas Central Ballet. In 1999
he took up the position of Ballet master with Northern Ballet Theatre.
Most recently Greg is Guest Teaching with English National Ballet
and Northern Ballet Theatre.
