Currently
a principal dancer with Royal Swedish Ballet, Jan-Erik trained
at the Royal Opera Ballet School in Sweden and at the Swedish
Ballet School. He joined the Royal
Swedish Ballet in 1987, and became Principal Dancer in 1993. He
has been awarded various prizes and in December 2000 H.M. the King
of Sweden honoured him by giving him the title of Royal Court Dancer.
He has danced prinicpal roles in ballets including
Swan Lake, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Mayerling, La Bayadère and La Syphide, as well
as many more contemporary ballets. Jan-Erik joined English National
Ballet in Autumn 2001, and has since danced prinicpal roles in
Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and Romeo and Juliet, as well as
creating the lead male role in Double Concerto.
