Roland was born in Sydney, Australia, and became
a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet in 1984. He has danced
Romeo in both MacMillan's and Cranko's Romeo and Juliet, Basilio in
Don Quixote, Colas in La Fille Mal Gardée as well as most of the
company's
repertoire. He guested in Japan, Australia, Poland and Russia.
As a teacher, Roland is very popular with the Royal Ballet, English
National Ballet, Adventures in Motion Pictures and in many other
European venues. His regular class at Pineapple Studios in London
is one of the most popular in town, and always packed with professionals!
